Hi Johnese,
Thanks for your submission. I must admit, the formatting of the question is a little bit confusing; I'm not sure what is meant by "x 0 1 4 9 y", but I assume you are asked to evaluate each function when x is equal to 0, 1, 4, and 9. If this is the case, then the answers are as follows:
y = F(x) = -√x
- F(0) = -√0 = 0
- F(1) = -√1 = -1
- F(4) = -√4 = -2
- F(9) = -√9 = -3
y = g(x) = 1.5√x
- g(0) = 1.5√0 = 1.5 * 0 = 0
- g(1) = 1.5√1 = 1.5 * 1 = 1.5
- g(4) = 1.5√4 = 1.5 * 2 = 3
- g(9) = 1.5√9 = 1.5 * 3 = 4.5
y = h(x) = √x+2
- h(0) = √0 + 2 = 0 + 2 = 2
- h(1) = √1 + 2 = 1 + 2 = 3
- h(4) = √4 + 2 = 2 + 2 = 4
- h(9) = √9 + 2 = 3 + 2 = 5
I hope this helps!
Best,
Jacob
