I will really like to know how and the answer to write y=7x-3 in standard form for algebra 1 math

The Standard Form for the equation of a line looks like:   Ax + By = C.

 

The problem gives the slope-intercept form of this line as: 

    y=7x-3

 

   -7x + y = -3          [subtract 7x from both sides]

 

   7x - y = 3      [multiply everything by -1 so the coefficient of x is positive;

                        we do that because that is the preferred format]

So that means we need the variables on one side and the constant on the other.

 

y = 7x - 3

In this case, we need to move the x-variable set to the opposite side. To do that, we subtract 7x from both sides:

y - 7x = 7x - 3 - 7x
