We have 4 pies and if each neighbor gets 1/6 of each pie, they would get 4 * 1/6 pieces of pie. This is 4/6 of the four pies for each neighbor.

 

4/6 can be reduced to 2/3. Therefore, each neighbor gets 2/3's of a pie.
