Dear Cam,
The first thing I would do is change the mixed number into an improper fraction.
2 2/3 to 8/3 then multiply the numerators (top numbers) and then the denominators (bottom numbers)
(8x2) =16 , then (3x14) = 42. At this point we have an answer of 16/42,
but this fraction isn't reduced to the lowest terms, 16/42 (divide the numerator and the denominator by 2
The final answer is 8/21.
