I know the answer but I don’t understood the question what is my confusion I will explain to you
A number let x
From x we subtracted 35 so it reduced 80% of it
So equation is
x-35=x*80/100
now 80% is reduced from x, so x-4x/5=x/5
x-35 =x/5
5x-175=x
X=175/4

 

That no is 175/4 *4/5 answer is wrong
Please explain me how I get wrong answer what did I wrong

So equation is
x-35=x*80/100

 

x-35-4x/5

 

multiply with 5 to both sides

 

5x-175=4x

 

subtract 4x form both sides and add 175 to both sides

 

x= 175

 

now 4/5 of 175=140
