If each test is worth 100 points, then 6 tests have a total of 600 possible points.

 

In order to average 85%, or 85 points per test, then Vicky must get 85*6=510 out of those 600 points.  She may get more or less than 85 on each test, but in order to average 85% or 85 points, she must get a total of 510 points.
