Jane Andre and Maria pick apples. Andre pics three times as many pounds as Maria. Jane pics two times as many pounds of Andre. The total weight of the apples is 840 pounds. How many pounds of apples does Andre pick?

x = 84.

 

Then Maria picks 84 pounds of apples. Andre picks 3 times as many apples as Maria or 252 pounds of apples. Jane picks 2 times as many apples as Andrea or 504 pounds of apples.
