There is a lot of contention on this subject, and the answer largely comes down to one's interpretation of the Bible. If we take it literally and say that the world is six thousand years old, then no, archeological findings don't agree with the Bible's claims. However, if we take into account 2 Peter 3:8, which states "Don't forget this fact, dear friends: With the Lord a single day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a single day" (International Standard Version), then we can conclude that the times stated in the Bible are not literal and do not correspond with our conventions of time measurement. If we allow for a fluid definition of time, then the existence of the various civilizations, conflicts, etc. mentioned in the Bible have generally been supported by findings.
In addition to this, there are commonalities between Christianity and other global religions that could be said to support the factual truth of the Bible, such as the global repetition of flood and creation stories. However, it has also been said that the pervasiveness of these stories point not to actual occurrences, but to some common fear or need within the human psyche.
In conclusion, archeology neither proves nor refutes the Bible. It does prove that the world is much older than six thousand years and that if the Bible is accepted as true, then it must also be accepted that its definition of time is not the same as our modern one. It is important to keep in mind that archeology is never finished, and new discoveries are made all the time that change our perceptions of history. If you want are looking for more definitive answers, I suggest you look for answers to more specific questions, such as: When were the Jews enslaved by the Egyptians? Or: Is it plausible that King Herod actually met Jesus? Asking the right questions is the key to good research.
