Would you expect chymotrypsin to catalyze peptide bond formation?

Technically, it's possible since in theory all reactions are reversible. However, it's unlikely under any normal circumstances as chymotrypsin preferentially cleaves a peptide bond, not forms it. Therefore, chymotrypsin should not catalyze peptide bond formation.
