1.5 tsp/8 muffins = n tsp/36 muffins.

 

In a proportion, you can cross multiply to obtain a true equation:

 

1.5x36 = nx8

 

54 = nx8   Divide both sides by 8

 

54/8 = n

 

6 6/8 = 6 3/4 tsp is needed to make 36 muffins.
