Primo car rental charges $42 per day plus$0.35 per mile, Ultimo car rental charges $16 a day and $0.90 per mile find the daily mileage for which ultimo charge is twice as more as primo charges

We set up an equality as such:

 

2(42 + .35x) = 16 + .90x

 

84 +.70x = 16 +.90x

 

68 = .20x

 

x = 340 miles
