Linear Models

A salesperson recieves a base salary of $35,000 and a commission of 10% of the total sales for the year.

  a. Write a linear model that shows the salesperson's total income based on total sales for k dollars.

** I figured out already that y= Total Salary (I think) but I can't figure out what x would be. All I need is x and I'll be able to create an equation.
