Solving inequalities is just like solving equalities with one exception; if you multiply or divide both sides by a negative number, flip the inequality sign.
2-4x+5(x+1)<-6(x-2)
2-4x+5x+5<-6x+12
7+x<-6x+12
7x<5
x<5/7
To graph, make an open circle at 5/7. (Open because the inequality does not have an equals bar and does not allow x to equal 5/7). Graph a dark line to the left of the open circle.
