A Personalized Approach to a Standardized Education
a = pr +p
On your right side each term has a P. That means you have a GCF (Greatest Common Factor).
IF you factor out the P you get P(r +1). So back to the equation....
a =pr +p
1)factor your gcf
a= p(r+1) <--- thats actually p TIMES (r+1). We only really care about P, not so much the (r+1) so I want to get rid of it.
2)To do that we are going to DIVIDE (r+1) on both side. This will make it cancel out on the right.
a/(r+1) = p and thats it
so whenever you have an equation were the variable kinda repeats or is in more than one term on one side and you cant really combine the terms, try to factor the gcf and then divide
hope that helps
