-2(2f-4)=-4(-f+2)

I really need help I've been trying to figure out this answer for hours and I still couldn't figure it out. Can anyone please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for your help

-2(2f-4) =-4(-f+2)

 

you would multiply -2 by both 2f and  -4 on the left side, and you would multiply -4 with -f and 2 on the right side, so you get

 

-4f + 8 = 4f -8  

 

subtract 4f on both sides to get rid of the 4f on the right side

 

-4f - 4f + 8 = 4f - 4f - 8

 

-8f + 8 = -8

 

-8f = -16

 

f = -16/-8

 

f=2
