Find the domain of the following functions.

 

a.) p(t)=1/t²-4

 

b.) t(a)=⁴√a-2

Assuming the range is the set of the real numbers and it's asking for the "largest" subset of the real numbers (including the entire set of the real numbers), then simply find the values where p and t are undefined (i.e., when you plug in a particular number(s), you don't get a solution). The domain will then be all of the reals EXCEPT for those values you found.
