The equation of a vertical line can not be expressed in the Slope-Intercept form of an equation (because the slope is undefined).
However, the Standard Form of an equation [ Ax + By = C ] has the advantage of describing this quite well (with A=1 and B=0).
The problem describes the line: [ x = C ] So, what is C? Use the point (-8,10) to determine it:
(-8) = C
This makes the equation (in Standard Form):
x = -8
