So, now we have ab * 4 = dd6

 

Our assumptions have limited dd6 to:

  996

 

And, ab *4 >= 100    so the values for ab are limited to 29 and 84 (dividing above numbers by 4).

 

Again, if no two letters represent the same digit (c=4 already), then:

   a = 2

   b = 9

   c = 4

   d = 1

   e = 6

 

Checking:   Is   29 * 4 = 116  ?     yes.
