Applying SImple Math to Everyday Life Activities
Ratios are always equivalent and they are similar to fractions.
groomers / horses
2 / 7 = 8 / x
where x is the number of horses
Cross multiply to solve for x.
2x = 56
x = 28
There are 28 horses.
