Dealing with real numbers

Question

A ball is dropped from a height of 25.6 feet. After it hits the ground, it bounces to 12.8 feet and falls back to the ground. Next it bounces to 6.4 feet and falls back to the ground. Then it bounces to 3.2 feet and falls back to the ground...
a)Find the difference in heights between each consecutive bounce.
b)If the pattern continues, will the ball ever stop bouncing? Explain

a) the difference in heights is the half of the previous,

b) yes would probably be right if you say something like theoretically one can take half forever and never reach zero.

no would probably be right if you explain something like there is some error allowed (greatest possible error given the sig.figs) in the sense that it will not always be exactly 1/2 each time.
