Let x be ducks, y be pigs

X+y = 21 heads total

2x+4Y =64 LEGS total. 2 each for duckies, 4 each for pigs

 

Solve the system of equations by multiplying the first eq by -2 and subtracting it from the 2nd.

 

Pigs = 11, thus ducks = 10
