Is (6x5)x3=5x(3x6) distributive or Associative property

This represents associative property.  If you rearrange the numbers in any order, the results will not change. 

 

 

Distributive property would have addition accompanying the multiplication.  This is because you distribute the terms into another.  For example:

 

6(2 + 6) = 6(2) + 6(6)

 

6(8) = 12 + 36

 

48 = 48

(6·5)·3 = (5·6)·3 [commutative property of multiplication]

 

              = 5·(6·3) [associative property of multiplication]

 

              = 5·(3·6) [commutative property of multiplication]

(6x5)x3=(5x6)x3  commutative property

(5x6)x3=5x(6x3)  associative property

5x(6x3)=5x(3x6)  commutative property

you used the commutative and associative properties but not the distributive property
