Milton spent $50.00 on a sweatshirt. Evan spent less than 20% more ont he same sweatshirt. How much did Evan spend?

We are working on inequalities and it asks for the inequality to solve the above word problem.  Any help is appreciated.

           20% more than 50 is 1.2*50=$60 This is the upper limit on Evans spending. So Evan spent <$60.
