Question

two cars started from the same point. one traveled at 50 mi/h and the other traveled went at 65 mi/h. round the nearest tenth to a mile.

distance=rate*time

d=50*4=200 miles

d=65*4=260 miles

if they travel in the same direction, the cars are 60 miles apart

if they travel in opposite directions, the cars are 200+260=460 miles apart

I'll do what I think is the most probable question, the case where the two cars are going in opposite directions.  Someone else can do the other main type.
