Yesterday, there were 950 downloads of the song, for a total download size of 3143 MB. How many downloads of the high-quality version were these?

S = number of standard downloads

950 - S = number of high-quality downloads

 

2.5S + 4.9(950 - S) = 3143

2.5S + 4655 - 4.9S = 3143

-2.4S + 4655 = 3143

-2.4S = -1512

S = 630

 

630 standard were downloaded and 320 high quality were downloaded.

 

Check:

630(2.5) + 320(4.9) = 3143

1575 + 1568 = 3143

3143 = 3143
