y = 4x + b
Next, we plug in the values of the coordinates into the equation to find b.
-1 = 4(-5) + b
-1 = -20 + b
19 = b
The equation of the line is
y = 4x + 19
Another way to solve this is to plug in the x value of the given coordinate into the answer choices to see which one gives you a y value of -1.
