i keep getting to wrong answer

1) Mental math approach:

15 is 1/4 of 60, and 1/4 is 25%. So, 15 is 25% of 60.

2) Standard approach:

15 = x% *60

x% = 15/60 = 25%

1) Mental math approach:

15 is 1/4 of 60, and 1/4 is 25%. So, 15 is 25% of 60.

2) Standard approach:

15 = x% *60

x% = 15/60 = 25%

You can also set this up as a ratio ( my favorite for this type of problem)

15/60 = x/100

cross multiply: 60x = 1500

now, divide both sides by 60 to isolate the variable x

= 60x/60 = 1500/60

x = 25

your answer is 25%

100 / 60= 1.667

1.667 x 15 = 25

25% is your answer.
