If J and J can get to their grandparents in 3 hours driving at 50 miles per hour, the the length of the drive must be 3 x 50 = 150 miles.
Now that we know how far they are traveling, we can calculate how long it will take at other speeds.
If the drive 150 miles at 40 miles per hour, 150 ÷ 40 = 3.75 hours, or 3 hours and 45 minutes.
If they drive 150 miles at 45 miles per hour, 150 ÷ 45 = 3.333... hours, or 3 hours and 20 minutes.
