y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.
We're given the y-intercept with (0, -3), so all we need to do is find the slope.
Slope is rise over run, and to find it, we use the formula (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
(0 - -3) / (-5 - 0)
3 / -5, or -3/5
Put the pieces into the slope-intercept formula, and you'll be done.
