If a line has no y intercept, what can you say about the line? What if a line has no x intercept?

If a line has no y intercept, what can you say about the line?  What if a line has no x intercept? Think of a real life situation where a graph would have no y or x intercept. Will what you say about the line always be true in that situation?

If a line never passes through the y axis, therefore having no y intercept, it must be parallel to the y axis, or a vertical line. It is also true that this line is perpendicular to the x axis.

 

If a line never passes through the x axis, therefore having no x intercept, it must be parallel to the x axis, or a horizontal line. It is also true that this line is perpendicular to the y axis.
