At your kid's age, I hated math, too. Not any more!
Hi Karen--
Since a circle measures 360 degrees, 1/360 of it would be one degree, a very "skinny" angle, which, since it is less than 90 degrees, is called an Acute angle.
The second question you'll need to do a little hunting around your home. Look for angles where walls meet each other, or wall-to-floor, etc. You can also sketch or even measure the angles of things like open doors, the angle of the side of a pot or pan sitting on the counter, a spoon leaning against the inside of a coffee cup, etc.
If the angle looks like the letter L (forwards, backwards, upside down, any position) it's a right (90 degree) angle.
If its "arms" (rays) are more open than a right angle (more than 90 degrees) it's called an Obtuse angle. If the arms are more closed (less than 90) it's an Acute angle.
Hope this helps!
