Let's turn 1 3/4 into an improper fraction first.  Multiply the whole number by the denominator, then add the result by the numerator.  This will be the new numerator.  Maintain the same denominator.

Now we can simply the expression using PEMDAS. 

 

2/3 × 6/7 + 5/8 ÷ 7/4

 

 

Multiply or divide from left to right.  Multiply the first two fractions.

Next : Multiplication and Division   going from left to right

 

this means you need to multiply 2/3 times 6/7    and  divide 5/8 by 1  3/4

 

I recommend that you change 1  3/4  into a fraction greater than one before you try.
