4x+6y = 12
2x-4y=20
Convert to slope-intercept form (y = mx + b):
y = (-2/3)x + 2 y-intercept = 2, slope = -2/3
y = (1/2)x - 5 y-intercept = -5, slope = 1/2
Graph them using the y-intercept and slope. The point where the two lines cross is the solution. Use the same method for numbers 2 and 3. On #3, remember that if two lines have the same slope, they are parallel and do not cross.
