Okay, so the null hypothesis (H0) always amounts to saying "There is no difference between the two groups with regard to X". The alternative hypothesis (H1) always amounts to saying "There IS a difference between the two groups with regard to X."
Just add the specifics - difference about what, between what groups.
If the subject was cats and dogs and prevalence of fleas, the hypotheses might be
H0 = There is no difference between the sample populations of dogs and cats with regard to the incidence of fleas.
H1 = There is a statistically significant difference between the sample populations of dogs and cats with regard to the incidence of fleas.
