45/100 = x/60

We multiply both sides by 60, and we get:

45 * 60 / 100 = x

Here we can simplify:

45 * 6 / 10 = x

45 * 3 / 5 = x

9 * 3 / 1 = x

9 * 3 = x

27 = x

 

So .45 of an hour is the same as 27 minutes.

 

Now we can do the same with the fraction:

3/4 = x/60

3 * 60 / 4 = x

3 * 30 / 2 = x

3 * 15 / 1 = x
