You can do the following:
x3 + x2 + 5x + 5 =
(x3 + x2) + (5x + 5)
Factor x2 out of (x3 + x2) and factor 5 out of (5x + 5), to get:
x2 (x + 1) + 5 (x + 1)
Notice that both terms have x + 1 as a factor. So you can factor that out and get:
(x2 + 5) (x + 1)
