I found the second one something I could take a crack at: the answer is 9 hours.
My method: First I saw that Frank drove 696 miles in 12 hours. THAT IS AN AVERAGE OF 58 MILES PER HOUR (or rate). TtHE NEXT STEP WAS TO SEE WHAT i GOT IN TERMS OF FACTS FROM THE SECOND PART OF THE QUESTION - 522 MILES AT THE SAME RATE. SO, I DIVIDED THE TOTAL MILES DRIVEN BY FRANK FOR THE SECOND TRIP 522) BY THE EARLIER RATE (58). This is how I got 9 hours.  Peace and success, a.neill.deo
