Think of it like this: the 32 she already did are 80 percent of the assignment.
So 32/n is equivalent to 80/100
Cross-multiply to get 80n = 3200
Divide both sides by 80:
n= 40
So she started with 40, and did 80 percent of them, which was 32 problems; then she had 20 percent left, which was 8.
