A skier moving 6.0m/s forward begins to slow down, accelerating at -2.0m/s^2 for 1.5s. What is the skier's velocity at the end of the 1.5s?

Here's what I did but I don't know another way of solving this without using point slope form. (0, 6) (1.5, y) y-y1=m(x-x1) y-6=-2(1.5-0) y-6= -3 y=3m/s velocity =3m/s forward
