Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
1^2 = 1
11^2 = 121 which is close to 111
11 is close to 9 =3^2
perfect squares are
0, 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100, 121, 169, ...441, ...
0 1^2, ...9^2,....11^2....19^2,..21^2 . 29^2, ...31^2, ...111^2, ...
for 111...1 to be a perfect square it would have to be the square of an odd number ending in 1 or 9, 3,5,7 won't work.
to be a perfect square it must divide by 4 with a remainder of 0 or 1
but 11/4 =2 R=3, 111/4 = 27 R=3, 1111/4 = 277 R=3, 111...1/4 always leave a Remainder of 3, never 0 or 1, Except for 1/4 = 0 R=1, so 1 is a perfect square
