While it's easy to right click to access the find missing folder option you can also move your folders within Lightroom from one drive to another. I find this option works best for keeping things organized. Of course if you're moving things to free up space just make sure that you check both locations to see that the files moved and weren't just duplicated.
How do I relocate my images in Lightroom once a folder is greyed out - because I moved that folder in my file system to a Hard Drive?
Hello! You may have experienced your Lightroom folders that you once had photos in greying out, and a little exclamation mark appearing that says something along the lines of "files not found". This can happen after you move your images from your computer files, to your hard-drive or external disk (or any other location than the original import location in general). To resolve this, you can right click on the greyed-out folder in the Folder Tab, and select "Find Missing Folder". Then, select the folder (that you moved) in the Finder Window that pops up, and then hit "Choose". Your photos should now be back and editable, as well as with any edits you would previously have done.
