Unfortunately, you neglected to include the redox reaction for us to balance.
Steps to balance redox in acid:
1) split into oxidation and reduction half reactions
2) for each 1/2 reaction, balance the elements other than O and H
3) balance O by adding H2O
4) balance H by adding H+ (acid)
5) balance charge by adding electrons (e-)
6) for each half reaction, multiply by a factor to make electrons equal for both 1/2 reactions, if necessary
7) add the 2 half reactions and combine and or cancel like terms
It will be easier to see these steps if you provide the actual reaction of interest.
