I like to have a hands-on, individual approach with teaching students. As a Substitute Teacher, I like to start with a quick lesson first and then have the students practice on their own. I then go around the room to see how students are doing. If I notice a student is struggling, I cater to their individual needs.
So, I think what makes my teaching style effective is I like to be relatable, personable, and patient. I won't move on to the next lesson until every student in the class that I have understands the concepts. If a student needs additional help, I work with them individually so that they can catch up at their own speed and I love to give them additional resources such as Khan Academy and IXL for example.
