Note, for each mole of NaI, ONE mole of Na+ and ONE mole of I- are present
Thus, if 2.3 moles of NaI react, there will be 2.3 moles of Na+ ions.
To convert this to the number of Na+ ions, we use Avogadro's number as follows:
2.3 mols Na+ x 6.02x1023 ions / mole = 1.38x1024 Na+ ions = 1.4x1024 Na+ ions
