Once again...
2CO + O2 ==> 2CO2 .. balanced equation
Next, we can now use the stoichiometry of this equation to answer the question:
-How many liters of O2 are required to react with 5.0 L of CO?
5.0 L CO x 1 L O2 / 2 L CO = 2.5 L O2 required
-How many L of CO2 are produced?
5.0 L CO x 2 mol CO2 / 2 mol CO = 5.0 L CO2 produced .. or
2.5 L O2 x 2 mol CO2 / 1 mol O2 = 5.0 L CO2 produced
