Is technology really beneficial?

Technology has been advancing a lot throughout the years, and we as humans start to depend more on it. Will technology really help us, or will we be stuck in a loop, and are there dangers with the variety of tools at people's disposal? Hackers, scammers etc. are constantly here and most people would get more addicted to their online world then the social world. Will technology help us up, or will it trap us in a reality>

Technology is a tool that makes people and businesses (and scammers) more efficient. If one business is using the tool and it even only makes them 2x more efficient than they will be able to offer their product at a lower rate and the business not using the tool will be more likely to go out of business.

There will always people who idealize the time before modern day tools, a lot of the time they got left behind and it would take many hours if not years for them to catch up and be able to use the tools that enable us to complete complex tasks so quickly.

The way I think of it is that once a technology is known there is no going back. But if you want to prepare a bomb shelter and for when all the satellites get taken out, maybe I’ll look silly the day you need to use it?
