If you are looking for the difference between two values, the term "difference" usually implies subtraction (-).
The difference between 47 and 14 is 33. If we are writing this as an equation with her height, it would be
c=47-14, which you could solve by combining like terms to c=33. I am a bit curious about the wording of the problem though- questions like this usually compare multiple people- is the the whole text of the problem or is there more to it?
