Jason built a rectangular tool shed that is  meters wide and has an area of   square meters. 

What’s the length of the shed

Your problem didn't come through - it's missing the numbers. To find the area of a rectangle, multiply the length and width. Consequently, if you are given the area and the width, divide area by width to get length.

To find the area of a rectangle, we multiply the length times the width: A = L x W.

When we don't know the length, we can divide both sides by W to get L by itself: A/W = L

From there, we can plug in the area and the width to find the length.
