what is the heat of formation for C2F3O (g)?

The EPA released a national drinking water health advisory for GenX, a class of compounds that are known polyfluoroalkyl substances. These chemicals have broad uses. The thermal decomposition of GenX compound is below.

C6HF11O3(g) ---> CF3(g) + CO2(g) + C2F4(g) + HF(g) + C2F3O (g) ΔHrxn = 55 kj/mol

a. what is the heat of formation for C2F3O (g)?

b. at what temperature(K) does the thermal decomposition reaction become spontaneous if the entropy of the reaction is 79 J/mol x K?

  1. I think I would use the G = H - TΔS with G = 0 to find the temperature, is that right?
