0.50 M NaCl will produce 0.50 M Na+ and 0.50 M Cl-. So, 2 particles each at 0.50M
0.50 M sucrose will produce only 1 particle at 0.50 M. Sucrose is a non electrolyte.
So, since both boiling point and freezing points are colligative properties,
a) the 0.50 M NaCl will have the higher boiling point, and
b) the 0.50 M NaCl will have the lower freezing point/melting point
